The 4th edition of the AFTE Code of Conduct for interest rate and currency transactions between corporate clients and investment services providers was necessitated by:
- the entry into force of the MiFID, Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, in 2007,
- the financial crisis,
- the technological innovations.
To prepare this publication, the AFTE "Compliance and Codes of Conduct" Club consulted extensively corporate clients, banks, professional associations, and governing bodies of financial markets. The Autorité des Marchés Financiers, which was consulted on an informal basis, provided comments that have been taken into consideration.
